I love this man!!!

I'm hoping I don't embarrass Elijah by putting this picture up, but I'm crazy in love with this man!!! I'm so proud of him....let me tell you what a blessing he is. In the midst of a war, Elijah still:

-calls me daily

-prays for me

-loses sleep when I need to talk to him

-sends me random packages and notes

-writes me emails daily

-takes care of me

-listens to me

-helps me deal with drama ;)

-is a great leader in our marriage

-encourages me

That's just to name a few-I could go on all day!

I couldn't have asked for a better husband. I am so thankful and blessed for God to have been so gracious to me! I'm proud of you, Elijah. Keep your head up....only 8.5 more months.

Sin is everywhere....but God is good.

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted on this blog. To my defense, I have been going through many trials lately.....in fact, I'm going through a 2-day old one right now. I have witnessed situations I never thought I would encounter this young in life. Even so, it is all a part of God strengthening me and my new marriage.

Though I sometimes feel distant from God, I am constantly reminded that He doesn't bring us through anything we can't handle-I know that God doesn't leave me. Through my frustration, my tears, my hurt, my sadness, my laughter, my happiness, my weakness.....God has been there. Not only that, but my husband has helped me through much of this as well. My sweet husband.....thousands of miles away....yet still there for me. Though we haven't been able to talk as much recently, he sets things aside for me. He listens to what's going on back here......He's probably thinking that America is more of a war zone than Iraq right now! Although we've only been together 2.5 months within the almost seven months of marriage, I feel so close to him. Through Christ, I feel closer to him daily. Being married to a wonderful man has helped me through these many crazy situations.

A couple of updates:
I started school back today....only 16 more weeks to go and I'll have my MBA!!!!
I started going to a new church and am excited to get plugged in right away!
I'm reading a new book on infant baptism.
I'm still working out with my fellow army wife, Emily- 3 times a week at the gym.
I've lost inches.....yay!
My brother, Shane, is getting married April 10th to a sweet girl named Rebekah.
I'm helping host another FRG ladies night at a nail bar this weekend.
I went to the beach with my girlfriend last Saturday...finally!

Not excited about....
not knowing when my husband comes home for R&R....
getting sick two weeks in a row this month....I missed the St. Patty's day parade ;(
school...but the end is near
having the pull weeds in the back yard soon.
the new health care bill- BLAH!!!

So, we had a blast in the big A-T-L last week....even if I did get sick the last day. Good thing I had two (you count Amanda) Doctors and a Nurse Practitioner on hand ;).

We.....

~stayed up late one night talking for almost two hours (Amanda and I)

~went to see the Swan House and civil war museum.

~enjoyed lunch at the infamous and pricey Buckhead Diner.

~went shopping-of course

~enjoyed two trips to the hotel hot tub- accompanied by chocolate truffles and lots of cute stories from the past.

~did more shopping

~ate at the most sketchy restaurant ever (I even have it on video).....but we keep our class.

It was so much fun- Thank you Mr. and Mrs. H for taking care of your girls ;).
